Today has been a day for listening to my music on shuffle and painting a pair of rainboots with colorful stripes. It's something I can do and pretend that I'm artistic.
It's also something I can do inside, sitting on the floor where I've been laid siege to by masses of stinkbugs who think that my screen door is a dandy place hang out and generally be gross and annoying.
The price of beautiful warm days is an incessant buzzing and regular foul smells when one trods accidentally on one of the dreadful creatures. Yuck!
Other things I'm thinking about these days include printing presses. Mom and I went to the Oak Knoll Books and Press place in Delaware a few days ago to see their festival, which featured lots of small independent presses, mainly from north America and the UK.
It was fabulous, and has rekindled a desire to play with the Kelsey printing press we awuired several years ago, as well as the massive Chandler and Price that has been holding the barn in one place over the winter.
As much as I might whine about living in a DIY household, it really is fun, and certainly never has to be dull.
And now my boots and paints are calling me back...
